This run concluded my distance training for the Two Oceans Ultra on the 4th of April. Also by completing this run I have now done the three 30km runs in Cape Town.
The run was a lovely 30km route around Tygerberg hill(s). The weather was nice and cool for the duration of the run. I was familiar with the route and had planned my run strategy from the start and carried it out perfectly with the first 10km in 1h05, the 2nd 10km in 10h03 and the 3rd 10km in an hour. Excellent!
For the week I ran 88km with 53km of them being on my new Asics Gel-Kinsei 5’s.
